Community Bible Study is a non-denominational, caring, in depth Bible study in our community that is transforming lives through the word of God. We meet at Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church on Wednesdays from 9:15 to 11:15 during the school year (beginning September 4). Our study this year is entitled “From the Red Sea to the Jordan” from Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers. We will learn how God delivered His chosen people, the Israelites, from Egyptian slavery and established them as a new nation. But these books are not just history. They also tell the story of a holy God’s faithfulness to weak and sinful people like us. Some class members may be surprised by how practical the topics in these Old Testament books really are. Because of biblical themes like doubt and faith, complaining and grace, crisis and intercession, and failure and repentance, the opportunities for spiritual growth offered in this course are plentiful.
