CORE MINISTRY VALUES:
Leading children to Spiritual Maturity – it’s more than just getting them saved, it’s leading them to go as high as they can possible go and not being afraid to give them the deep things of God.
Equipping parents as spiritual leaders – giving parents the tools and resources they need to grow as spiritual leaders of the family and, sometimes, the extra gentle push to do so!
Investing in Real Relationships – We’re not a factory; we’re a family! Providing environments for children to build genuine, caring relationships with each other and with their teachers.
Celebrating Creativity – not being content to do what’s easy but going the extra mile to create experiences that will be genuinely engaging to our children and capture their interest.
Serious about Safety & Security – going the extra mile to create a safe environment for our children and families.
Committed to Excellence – giving God our best through training, prayer times, and reaching for high standards of children’s ministry – all to bring honor to Him.
CORE MINISTRY COMMITMENTS:
Committed to Growing: Our goal is not just that children know a few more Bible stories, but that they are actively reaching for spiritual goals that will lead them to spiritual maturity. We want to instill within them a passion for God – a hunger to know God deeply and to follow Him fully! We purpose that all our teaching should be practical, touching the real issues of children’s lives, and that every week’s teaching should be challenging each child to take new steps of spiritual growth. We are choosing to be intentional about our children’s spiritual growth, not trusting it to happen accidentally, but purposefully designing our teaching in a way that will accomplish it.
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105
Committed to Community: We believe that, as Christians, we are Family – brothers and sisters in Christ who are called to love one another and care for one another. We strive to help our children build close bonds with one another and to teach them to care for each other. We purpose to make sure that no child will feel like one among many, no matter how large we become, but that every child will feel individually loved and cherished, through the deliberate and intentional caring acts of our teachers and leaders, and through the way we structure our classes.
“By this will everyone know that you are my disciples, if you have love, one for another.” John 13:35.
Committed to Creativity: Our God is a highly creative God so we use whatever creative means we can think of to communicate God’s Truth and make the Bible come alive to them in new ways. We’re not about entertainment, but we are about doing what it takes to grab our children’s attention and then focus them on God! We strive to help kids become so fascinated with Bible stories that they want to learn more and we teach using different creative activities each week. We endeavor to use surprises, games and fun activities which vary from week to week.
“I am become all things to all people, so that by all possible means, I might win some.” I Corinthians 9:22
Committed to Parents: We believe that parents are the most important spiritual leaders for their children. Our goal is to give you ideas, tools, and encouragement to become the spiritual leader in your home that God is calling you to be.
“Teach them to your children and talk about them when you sit at home, when you walk down the road, when you lie down, and when you get up” Deuteronomy 6:7
Committed to Safety: In a day when our world is becoming increasingly unsafe, we want to create a safe place for children to grow in Christ. We make every effort to reach and maintain the highest possible standard of safety and security, recognizing that such must be parent-friendly and teacher-friendly, yet also recognizing that safety is paramount for all children in today’s society. It’s not convenient at times, but it is right!
“I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.” Matthew 10:16
Connecting Commitment – Excellence:
We believe that a God as great as ours is deserves no less than the best we have to give. Therefore, in all we do, we are always going to try to make it better, not for fame or pride, but for the joy of hearing His “Well Done!”
“And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus” Colossians 3:17
