God has equipped all of us with spiritual gifts. To get pugged into your area of gifting call or email the church office at 843-390-9222 or firstname.lastname@example.org. To determine your area of gifting take the spiritual gifts assessment to understand where the Holy Spirit is leading you to serve. Then please prayerfully consider serving on one of the Ministry Teams that follow.
Our Discipleship Team invites you to join us on a journey toward maturity in your walk with Christ as we live in Community with others who seek this growth together. We have a number of opportunities for leadership in fellowship, learning, worship, and service. Primarily through our small groups we strengthen your experience of God’s love for you, and embrace the abundant life to which He has called you.
Our Outreach Team ministers to those in need, provides for the believers, and spreads the gospel locally, nationally and globally. Serving one another is the way we grow in faith as Christians. Here are some of our many opportunities to serve in the Outreach Ministry: 1) North Strand Housing Shelter 2) Prison Ministry 3) Helping Hands 4) Hands of Grace 5) Ground Zero 6) Citi Impact Ministries – Feed the Hunger 7) Thanksgiving Feast 8) Operation Christmas Child
Our Welcome Team helps people to feel comfortable in the Waterbrook family. At every Sunday service you will see friendly, smiling faces at the door to greet you and helpful ushers to assist you to your seat. You will also notice adjacent to the sanctuary our Welcome Center. Yes, more smiling faces and people there to answer any questions you have about the church and what’s going on. In the parking lot you will be assisted in finding a spot to park, and yes, more smiling faces. We want visitors and members to always be warmly greeted with the love of God.
Our Multi-Media Team helps to communicate God’s message to a technology driven world through the use of digital and electronic media as a worship and outreach tool. This ministry not only provides the technical support required for our worship services, but also records various events, teachings and sermons, which are made available on our website. We are here to help you learn what you’ll need to know and have fun in the process!
Our Care Team offers support during the difficult times in life when we need all the love and support we can get, both from God and others. In fact, most often God manifests his presence through others. Being “God’s heart and hands” is the very purpose of the Care Team. Our Care Ministry has many ways to minister to the broken and hurting children of God – hospital and home visits, bereavement meals, care notes, and intercessory prayer.
Our Prayer Team is made up of dedicated prayer warriors who faithfully pray for the congregation, community, nation and world. When we pray God abundantly answers and draws near to us. We pray during the Sunday services and pray for all those with prayer concerns and prayer requests from the congregation.
Our Fellowship Team promotes events that bring the larger congregation, or segments of it, together in united fellowship. We plan and oversee many of the components of family life such as: Holiday Events, our Fall Festival, the Christmas Dinner, preparation and clean up of food before and after Sunday services anTd planning and managing various other events throughout the year.
Our Facilities Team maintains our buildings and grounds. We strive for excellence as we serve Christ, and part of that is being a good steward of what He’s entrusted to us. Our buildings are a center for the community to gather. When we gather, we take pride in buildings being in excellent condition for all to use.
Our Finance Team advises upon the financial and business aspects of the church. This includes creating and managing budgets, cash flow, expenses, rents, etc.
Our Food Team manages the church kitchen. The kitchen is a vital part of the church as we not only feed our membership but also reach out to local shelters for the homeless and provide a hot cooked meal for those in need.
